WHAT WE CELEBRATE?

On April 2, 1982 the Argentine military played an old military-nationalist dream: to recover or invade the Malvinas-Falklands, in the view the other side.

A military adventure undertaken by the most brutal dictatorship in Argentina's history, which sought to legitimize his power, after the failure of his attempt to war with Chile in 1978.

More than a thousand dead from starvation and freezing in the islands, following the sinking of the cruiser General Belgrano, fallen in battle and by his own hand in the hundreds of suicides that occurred many years after finishing the brief conflict two months.

Falkland Falklands and today remains a national holiday.

What do we celebrate?
